Freedom Fairly

If you read about me, you'll see that my day job is studying and writing about religion. But I'm also fiercely interested in personal liberty. I'm less of an ideologue than I was in my younger days, so don't expect calls for the new revolution.

My blog will sometimes include links to my study of religion. It could include things about my job at the Center for the Study of Religion and American Culture or with the Society for the Scientific Study of Religion. It may also include stories from my trips to the muzzle loading championships in Friendship, Indiana. From time to time it will include links to my other writings, though you can already see my books and a few of my articles over in my links.

But mostly, I plan to use this space to think about personal freedom and what's happening to it in my town, my state (Indiana), our country, and the world. If you're interested, you'd be welcome to look in and to take up the conversation if you'd like.
